“I got to take Sara’s ‘Dance Styles’ class which was brand new during my time in Pace University’s Musical Theatre Program. Sara’s way of teaching made the students feel like professionals and taught us all valuable lessons in understudying and swinging different tracks from shows. This is not something typically taught in a university setting but I was fortunate enough to have a teacher like Sara who saw the importance of this craft. Because of this class, which was spearheaded by Ms. Brians, I’m looking forward to working on a new piece soon where I will be understudying a role for the first time and I feel confident being equipped with the tools to do so because of her.”
